Appointed as Design Council CABE ‘Built Environment Expert’

I have been working with CABE Space and CABE since 2003 when I joined their Enabler team assisting local authorities to raise the profile of good design in landscape, public realm, masterplanning and other aspects of urban design.  I am delighted to have the relationship renewed as I have been appointed to their panel of 250 BEE’s.

The re-fresh of CABE as a non-government body, now merged with the Design Council, means the way is open for a new way of doing things. CABE always punched above its weight and produced a vast amount of best practice and research that has certainly advanced the art of place design during the last decade.  The new slimline Design Council CABE will have to work hard to plough its own furrow and the BEE panel will be one of the main tools to bring a new thrust of enthusiasm and incisiveness in the current, less buoyant, era.
