Barne Barton Neighbourhood Plan

I have been assisting the Barne Barton Neighbourhood Forum in West Plymouth in developing their Neighbourhood Plan that is emerging from a series of workshops run with Architecture Centre Devon & Cornwall earlier in the year.  The community has a strong identity and specific local issues to deal with including poor connections to the city, quality housing that meets a need for the elderly and single person living.  The neighbourhood has an incredible topography overlooking the Tamar River and Devonport Dockyard, and has at its core large areas of green space that has enormous potential for the community. We are beginning the policy writing stage and taking the initial ideas and community aspirations from shopping list and sketch plan to planning policy.  I am assisting with community and landowner partner workshops, plan development and policy writing.
