David Orr has been appointed to assist Taunton Deane Borough Council to draw up their Garden Town Plan. Working with Architecture Centre Devon & Cornwall CIC, David is helping define the spatial vision in key diagrams and illustrations for the town as a whole and the town centre. Drawing on themes that make Taunton distinctive, from its riverside and waterways to its association with apple orchards, wetlands and withies, castles and dragons (yes!). The plans set a strategic priority of themes for implementation in the planning process over the current local plan period that seek to make the town less ordinary and more ‘garden’.
