We have been appointed to support Rummey Environmental and Phil Jones Associates with the transport and environmental assessment of a proposed urban extension to Harlow Garden Town. We are reviewing the landscape, heritage, natural environment and townscape effects of various access route (and route typology) options in order to advise the local planning authorities on the best environmental fit. The work will seek to influence the proposed development form, street types, and relationship with the green belt, seeking always to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with an eye towards net zero transport ambitions. The study is primarily desktop based during COVID-19 restrictions with anticipated post-lockdown site verifications.
