Bourn community given go ahead

David Orr has been assisting Rummey Design since 2014 on proposals for a sustainable large settlement of 3500 homes on the old WW2 airfield at Bourn in Cambridgeshire. I am delighted this has been approved for outline planning by South Cambridgeshire District Council today, 19 February 2021. The project required a huge effort to balance between the requirements of our client, Countryside Poperties, the patient council planners, the (understandably wary) neighbouring community, and the large variety of technical parameters. We have worked hard to give the plan a sense of place amidst the pull of all these demands and genuinely think the plan has potential to be a really great place to live in 21C Cambridgeshire.
